Especially the upgrade at the LINX enables us to set up peering’s to the largest Indian ISP Airtel, to large Chinese access providers and Japanese DSL providers. Furthermore the connectivity and bandwidth to the middle east, and especially Africa – the uprising market for the internet, has been improved.

The MPLS and multi-redundant core network of Core-Backbone was expanded again. Today the following uplink upgrade has been successfully conducted:

After the devastating flooding in Pakistan, there is great misery throughout the country. Therefore, Core-Backbone has decided to donate EUR 5.000 for the flood victims in Pakistan.

Core-Backbone would be pleased if our customers would also participate to ease the suffering.

Due to the ever-increasing volume of data, Core-Backbone today started a series of actions to increase the capacity of the connections (dark fiber) between Nuremberg and Frankfurt until the end of July from today’s capacity of 200 Gbit/s to 400 Gbit/s.

In addition, we welcome another carrier onboard. Level 3 Communications. Level 3 is a Tier-1 Carrier with a world-wide network, to which we are now connected with 20 Gbit/s.
