To improve the international connectivity, further exchange points have been connected to our network:<br />
* <a href="http://www.linx.net">www.linx.net</a> – International internet exchange in London, England<br />
* <a href="http://www.swissix.ch">www.swissix.ch</a> – Internet exchange in Switzerland</p>
<p>Especially the upgrade at the LINX enables us to set up peering’s to the largest Indian ISP Airtel, to large Chinese access providers and Japanese DSL providers. Furthermore the connectivity and bandwidth to the middle east, and especially Africa &#8211; the uprising market for the internet, has been  improved.</p>

<p>Between each site are connection fibers with a capacity from 20 GBit/s to 80 GBit/s ( a maximum of 800 GBit/s  is possible at the current state) to ensure, even in a case of failure or fiber cut, a perfect connectivity.</p>

Due to the ever-increasing volume of data, Core-Backbone today started a series of actions to increase the capacity of the connections (dark fiber) between Nuremberg and Frankfurt until the end of July from today’s capacity of 200 Gbit/s to 400 Gbit/s.
