After the devastating flooding in Pakistan, there is great misery throughout the country. Therefore, Core-Backbone has decided to donate EUR 5.000 for the flood victims in Pakistan.

Core-Backbone would be pleased if our customers would also participate to ease the suffering.

Due to the ever-increasing volume of data, Core-Backbone today started a series of actions to increase the capacity of the connections (dark fiber) between Nuremberg and Frankfurt until the end of July from today’s capacity of 200 Gbit/s to 400 Gbit/s.

In addition, we welcome another carrier onboard. Level 3 Communications. Level 3 is a Tier-1 Carrier with a world-wide network, to which we are now connected with 20 Gbit/s.

After weeks of hard work, today we put on power at the brand new datacenter 3 in Nuremberg. After weeks of hard testing of the infrastructure, today the first server of a customer was powered on today.

The datacenter is connected with the two other datacenters over a 160 gbps cycle of backbone capacity. It has redundant core and access routers and redundant power and aircondition supply.
