Michael Heidler is employed as apprentice IT specialist for system integration. This December he celebrates his first anniversary at Core-Backbone. As systems integrator Michael is in charge of direct customer attendance. Moreover, Michael takes care of installations or modifications, and also patches in our data centres and points of presence.

- What is your motivation for this job?
The variety of tasks, which challenge me as well physically as mentally are very pleasant. Furthermore, I like finding errors and also solving some problems, to achieve desired goals. - Would you recommend this professional path to others?
IT as fast developing economic sector, offers a huge job security and except that highly diverse tasks. Obviously, there should be a strong technical interest.
- What are your professional goals?
In the middle term I would like to develop myself at Core-Backbone and learn a lot for this purpose.
- How have you gained your Know-How?
A big part of my subject knowledge I have learnt at Core-Backbone, especially in my everyday work routine, of course. Besides I am interested in computer technology in my private life. - What differs CBB from other companies?
Very easy-going workplace atmosphere and wide-ranging duties with the most updated technology are typical for this company.
- What abilities are needed for the systems integrator’s job?
Apart from essential expertise, above all I find important having an overview and organized workflows. Moreover, it requires certain flexibility to meet changing expectations of our customers.
- What do you appreciate about CBB?
Above all easy and collegial handling every day, or during company events. It always pleases me and it is combined with a lot of humour.
- What are your hobbies off the job?
In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and computer/tablet games.
- What have you done before entering CBB?
Besides my studies, which I had to quit because of my health issues, I worked as copywriter and in logistics.
