***MAY WE INTRODUCE*** VJEKOSLAV BESLIC

Vjekoslav Beslic, our Facility Manager started at Core Backbone exactly 5 years ago. His duties include regularly establishing order in the data centres, throughout the office and in the warehouse. He is also responsible for ensuring that the facilities meet the needs of their occupants and users, such as employees, customers and visitors.

You can read the full interview with Vjekoslav Beslic here and learn more about the benefits of working at Core-Backbone.

  1. What are your main tasks?
My main task is to make sure that the house rules goes according to schedule.
The main task is then divided into storage, catering, transport, purchasing, supervision, order, hygiene, maintenance, set-up, repair/exchange, etc.
  2. How important is your role in the Nuremberg office?
Depending on who evaluates my role and when. This goes from being a joke to valuable moral and/or physical support.
  3. What did you do beforehand and how did you come to Core-Backbone?
Simply all. For example: authentic, conscientious, communicative, willing to perform, motivated, optimistic, independent, careful, team player, able to deal with conflict, reliable, etc. And if possible, the character trait to put the other qualities into practice.
  4. What did you do beforehand and how did you come to Core-Backbone?
Before CBB, I worked in the catering industry, from kitchen assistant to operations manager.
In industry, from manufacturing to subcontracting (from precision mechanics to foundry) and in different departments with different processes. In warehousing and transport. From large automatic high-bay warehouses to small parts warehouses with different transport options.
In sport. As a sportsman. As a helper in preparations and processes. As a trainer and/or supervisor. As head of department and youth leader. As an advisor to the board and positions below.
In building management. From cleaning to caretaker. In the building trade, civil engineering and building construction. E.g., laying foundations, masonry, roofing, road construction. In agriculture. E.g., maintaining meadows, hedges and gardens, as well as lumbering.
In IT as a trainee and apprentice. In the army as a soldier and supervisor. In the private care sector. There I looked after people with mental difficulties. In the church as an altar server.
  5. Is the IT industry a coincidence or was that your goal?
Maybe a random target. I completed a second apprenticeship as an IT specialist with the goal of IT. But by then, gastronomy hadn’t let me go, so I was removed from IT again. When someone was needed in the facility area, I applied to Core-Backbone.
  6. What is special about this industry and the people who work here?
Every industry is as good as the motivation of its personalities. This is the case both internally in the branches and externally. What is particularly good about us is that all employees already have a right attitude towards life and transfer it.
  7. To what extent does your original culture influence your job?
My accumulated experience helps here and there to make difficulties seem easier. The original culture has little influence. It serves more as a topic of conversation in the area of holidays.
  8. What is your motivation for this activity?
To be a flexible reinforcement and a coordinated support in difficult situations. Another response is to help enrich the story of Core-Backbone.
  9. In which aspects/when do you show your self-initiative?
In all aspects and when situations demand it. Sometimes self-initiative is a kind of a restraint. Balance and harmony are very important to me. Body and mind in balance generate inner strength, which increases performance and creates a good mood. When work allows it, we are active in sports at Core-Backbone. A few minutes a day to get fit or maintain fitness.
  10. What do you especially enjoy about CBB?
When my colleagues are laughing and are happy because all the tasks have been done well.
  11. What do you like to do after work?
Digging into history for good stories, exploring characters both aurally and physically with music, film, sports, etc.
  12. What differs CBB from other companies?
The human resources management and the way it is demanding and supportive.
  13. How would you rate the work-life balance at CBB?
It is getting better and better and is currently quite good.

We congratulate Vjekoslav on his 5th anniversary and wish him many more wonderful years at Core-Backbone GmbH. We would like to thank him for his dedicated work, friendly manner and helpfulness to his colleagues.

Due to the increasing growth, we are happy to hire more motivated people like our Vjekoslav.
