What seems obvious today was severely limited by infrastructure back then.
The biggest technical hurdle was clear: “𝘎𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘱𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘕𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘨”, recalls Ulrich, who has been with the company as network manager from the very beginning. This led to intensive discussions and a great deal of planning in advance.
It was precisely these challenges that laid the foundation for what Core-Backbone is today: a stable, highly available network built with a great deal of patience and genuine technical expertise.
