On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Core-Backbone GmbH, our management team answered a series of questions. Here is the complete interview with Andreas, Head of Sales and Marketing:
Describe Core-Backbone in three words.
Two are enough for me: Simply reliable!
Which moment has shaped Core-Backbone the most during your time here, and why?
That was definitely the time during the COVID pandemic. Those years of exceptional circumstances showed that we truly function as a team. On the one hand, we were able to successfully test our processes and confirm that they run smoothly regardless of location. On the other hand, it became clear that we can handle challenging times together very successfully. Everyone pulled together, from Daniel, our CEO, all the way to Dominik, who started his apprenticeship with us during that time.
In your view, what sets Core-Backbone apart from other companies?
At the end of the day, it’s simply the strong connection between colleagues. Unlike in many other companies, the primary focus isn’t on individual interests, but on how we can move the company forward together. We don’t have the typical corporate way of working, we get things done and don’t endlessly debate topics in meetings.
What has changed the most over the past 10–20 years, and what has stayed the same?
We have become significantly more professional in all areas of the company, without losing our warmth and strong interpersonal relationships, both internally and in our interactions with others.
If Core-Backbone were a person, how would you describe it?
Like a good friend who stands loyally by my side, even when things get tough. Just how I would imagine a best friend.
